Liz O’Connor

After graduating from the LCP with a degree in Graphic Design Liz worked in London for, TBWA, DMB&B and Saatchi as an Art Director.

She moved to Glasgow to work for new agency The Bridge and after 7 years she was part of the management buyout team of 3 that bought the agency from Lopex. She was Head of Art and Deputy Creative Director for 11 years.

Liz has won multiple Scottish and International creative awards, as well as being part of a marketing team that has won many IPA effectiveness awards.  She has worked with a wide variety of major clients including: The Scottish Government, Baxters, ScottishPower, The Sunday Times, The Times, P&G, Glenmorangie, Scottish Provident, The Big Plus, Brooke Bod Scottish Blend and LearnDirect Scotland.

After leaving The Bridge Liz returned to Academia and studied postgraduate degrees at The University of Glasgow and The University of Oxford. After a brief spell lecturing, Liz returned to digital marketing. Today she combines writing and research into the history of advertising and design with working in collaboration with universities and non-profit organisations on their websites. This includes creating journeys as well as all written content, photography and video.
